Flu vaccination rules: from 1st March 2020 it is mandatory that a horse competing in an official BRC event (i.e. qualifier or championship) must have been vaccinated against equine influenza within 6 months and 21 days before the qualifier/championship (but not in the 6 days preceding arrival at the qualifier or championship).
From 1st October 2020, all horses must have a microchip – this will be checked at qualifiers and championships (any horse not microchipped will be eliminated).
The Foss Trophy is presented annually to the club in Area 11 which gains the most points in team competitions during the year. The club with the next highest points receives the Foss Runner-Up Trophy. These perpetual trophies are presented at the Area’s AGM in January. The Foss Trophy competition year runs from the start of the BRC winter season (October–March) to the end of the BRC summer season (April– September) finishing after the Lincoln National Championship or London & South East Championships, whichever is later, unless a club qualifies for the Quadrille final in which case the end of the Foss Trophy year would be delayed until the Quadrille final.
