Riding Holiday in India – 28th February to 15th March 2009

Caroline Moorey is arranging a private group holiday to India and would welcome fellow riders to join her.  This two-week private group trip includes a 9 day horse safari riding Indian Marwari horses over the Thar Desert in Rajasthan, then 3 days in the pink city of Jaipur for the elephant festival (see polo played on elephants and have a go if you wish), then 4 game drives in Ranthambore National Park where there is a tiger reserve.  Non-riding partners are fully catered for and very welcome. FASHION SHOW – November 27th (Frensham)

Tilford & Rushmoor RC in conjunction with Dene’s Country Stores Ltd invite you to a Fashion Show at Frensham Royal British Legion Hall, Shortfield, Frensham GU10 3BJ. Starts 7.30 p.m. Entry £2 per person including one free raffle ticket (great prizes).

 

 

FORTHCOMING TEAM EVENTS

 

Dressage – December 7th (Priory Equestrian Centre)

The first of two winter friendlies (run by Elstead together with non-team classes) for teams of three, two of whom ride Prelim tests and one a Novice test – can include one junior per team.

 

Dressage – January 25th (Priory Equestrian Centre)

The second winter friendly (to be run by Farnham RC) – same format as for December 7th.

 

Quiz – February 9th (The Watermill, Dorking)

Starts 7.30 for 8.00 p.m.  Teams of three.

 

Show Jumping – February 22nd (Sands Farm)

National qualifiers for the indoor novice show jumping championship.  Separate qualifiers for juniors and seniors. Four members per team, all to jump two rounds, the first at 0.80m.

 

 

FLU CERTIFICATES – please note that for all BRC official competitions (including national qualifiers and championships), your horse must have a valid flu certificate which means that the dates of vaccinations must comply with the following:

 

  • Horse must have had its first two vaccinations at least.
  • The second vaccination must have been given between 21 and 92 days after the first one.
  • There must be a third vaccination given between 150 and 215 days after the second one.
  • Thereafter the horse must have had booster vaccinations at intervals not exceeding one year.
  • The horse must not have been vaccinated within the 7 days preceding the competition.
